Ching is a first-year Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan, where she received a Rackham Merit Fellowship in her first year. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Meteorology from San Jose State University in California. During her time at SJSU, Ching was honored with the President’s Scholar and Walker’s Fellowship awards. She also gained invaluable experience through internships at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). Ching’s expertise lies in airborne cloud observations and cloud microphysics in climate models. She has aspirations of becoming a professional research scientist in the future.
